Juliana Opens Up More About Dealing with Addiction in Her Family: ‘There Is an Epidemic Going On’

Bachelor Nation fans are getting to know Juliana as she looks for love with Grant Ellis on Season 29 of “The Bachelor.”
In this week’s episode, we saw Juliana open up to Grant during their special one-on-one date about dealing with a family member who struggled with addiction and how it affected her growing up.
The two bonded over this shared connection and how they have both learned to overcome their feelings of loneliness over the years and support their family members as they heal from their addictions.
Now, Juliana has taken to Instagram to open up more about her experience and how it felt to share her story on the show.
Next to a photo from the date, she said, “Trying to verbalize a very personal struggle in this setting wasn’t easy, but I did it with the intention of trying to relate with someone that I knew had also struggled personally with this.”
She continued, saying, “There is an epidemic going on, with no rule book on how to overcome it. There is so much loss that comes with this, but I was blessed beyond words to witness a success story. It is not my story to tell, but the impact it had on me is.”
Juliana then ended her post by giving a note of encouragement to anyone who may be struggling currently and hopes that they feel seen from hearing her story.
“If anything, I pray that someone, somewhere out there, might hear this & feel a little more seen, a little less alone & a little more determined to keep going,” she said. “Whatever your circumstances are, I hope you choose life every time.”
Followers filled Juliana’s post with comments of love and support, and many even shared their own stories of similar experiences.
