Sarah Herron Gets Candid About Her 6 Rounds of IVF Before Getting Pregnant with Twin Girls: ‘This Is the Last Time’

Keeping it real.
Bachelor Nation first met Sarah Herron on Season 17 of “The Bachelor,” and she returned to our screens for Seasons 1 and 3 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
Sarah found love off-screen with husband Dylan Brown and the two welcomed twin girls Evy and Coco last year.
Since then, Sarah has been keeping followers updated with their new lives as a family of four and learning how to parent twins with her limb difference.
Now, the Bachelor Nation star has taken to Instagram to share more about her IVF experience and revealed that she went through six rounds before getting pregnant with her twin girls.

She posted a new video of Evy and Coco in their stroller while on a walk and wrote, “One day you’re walking into your 6th and final round of IVF. And the next…”
Sarah then opened up about her experience and the difficulties they faced while trying to get pregnant.
She said, “Dylan and I had been through 4 egg retrievals, 5 embryo transfers, a chemical pregnancy, and a third trimester loss of our son, Oliver. We were burnt out, dejected and ready to throw in the towel. We started making plans for what our life could look like child-free. We actually started to get excited about the idea of buying a sprinter van and driving to Alaska—of doing all the adventures we’d always dreamed of.”
Sarah then revealed that they discovered they had two more embryos and decided to do one final round of IVF.

“We had these two little mosaic embryos waiting for us on ice, still,” she shared. “As a Hail Mary, we decided to ‘throw ’em both in and see what sticks.’ ‘This is the last time’ we agreed. I didn’t have it in me to chase embryo transfers anymore, and neither did Dylan.”
Sarah shared how she and Dylan felt going into that last round, hoping that it would work.
She said, “We went into our 6th embryo transfer hopeful, but guarded. That morning, @eggwhisperer placed both tiny embryos into a catheter together and transferred them into my uterus. We crossed our fingers and waited. I like to think that from that very moment, our girls were a team—they had just been waiting to come earth-side together. 💕”
We always love hearing from Sarah and are so happy for her and her entire family. We know that her vulnerability and sharing her story is going to help others going through a similar journey.
