EXCLUSIVE: Clayton Echard Reveals How His Dating Life Has Recently Changed: ‘Having Emotional Intelligence Is New to Me’

Bachelor Nation fans saw Clayton Echard look for love on Season 18 of “The Bachelorette” and again on Season 26 of “The Bachelor” when he returned to our screens as the leading man.
Since his time on the Bachelor Nation shows, he’s kept fans updated online about his life off-screen and adventures he’s experienced ever since.
Now, he’s opening up exclusively with BachelorNation.com to reveal how his dating life has changed and how he’s approaching looking for love moving forward.
While he shared that he hasn’t been on many dates recently, Clayton revealed that he has been taking his dating life seriously.
“I have been taking dating seriously for the last couple months, with not much luck, but I’ve had really great experiences. And I know that when it’s the right timing, I’ll find my person. So I’m at least open now and I’m putting myself out there to find someone.”
Clayton also shared how he has changed as a person recently and how that is affecting his approach to dating now.
“I am always open to whatever comes my way. If it feels right, then I do it. I’m a feelings-focused person nowadays,” he expressed. “I would say having emotional intelligence is new to me. So I am now leaning into that. I’ve done a lot of work, a lot of self-improvement, and I’m pretty happy with where I’m at today. We’re all a work in progress.”
Clayton also admitted that although he doesn’t quite keep up with people in Bachelor Nation anymore, he could see himself being interested in a few of them.
“So I’ll be honest, I don’t quite keep up as much anymore,” he shared, “but I meet so many incredible people in Bachelor Nation, I would imagine there’s gotta be more than a few women that I would be interested in.”
