Lesley Murphy Goes Viral After Capturing Her Ship Hitting 40-Foot Waves — See the Video!

Going viral.
Bachelor Nation fans first met Lesley Murphy on Season 17 of “The Bachelor,” and she returned to our screens for “Bachelor Winter Games.”
Since her time on the shows, Lesley found love off-screen with husband Alex Kavanagh and the pair have welcomed two daughters: Nora and Lily James.
If you’ve been following Lesley for a while now, you know that she and Alex love to travel all over the world and share their adventures online.
And this week, Lesley was interviewed on the news after a video she captured of her boat hitting 40-foot waves went viral.

The Bachelor Nation star recently went on a cruise to Antarctica that sailed through the Drake Passage between Argentina and Antarctica, which is known for its rough seas.
While sailing through, they experienced what’s referred to as the Drake Shakes and hit giant 40-foot waves — not once but twice within 48 hours.
Lesley shared a video online showing their experience, including the water hitting the windows of the ship, TVs rocking, and people falling over.
The video went so viral that multiple news outlets covered the story, and she was even interviewed on “Good Morning America” to talk about her experience.

Describing what it was like on the ship, she said, “The best way I can describe it is being on a roller coaster for 48 hours straight. And to some people that’s exhilarating, and for others, I think it could be just kind of hell on earth.”
She also admitted that while she was nervous about hitting the huge waves, she felt completely safe.
“You’re standing there thinking, if this glass goes,” she shared, “but I had full faith in that ship. Kudos to the captain. It was a ride and a roller coaster of a lifetime.”
Lesley posted her interview on her Instagram page and captioned the video, “Sooo anyone else see it on the big screen today?!😅🌊To reiterate, while it was all pretty dramatic, we were all very safe. Hats off to the Captain and the ship!”
What a crazy experience! We are so glad Lesley and everyone on the boat were safe, and it looks like they still had a great time on their trip.
