Nick Viall Reveals Wife Natalie Experiences 3rd Pregnancy Loss in Heartbreaking Update
In our thoughts.
Former Bachelor Nick Viall married Natalie Joy last year after two and a half years of dating. The couple also welcomed their first child together, daughter River Rose.
This year, the two shared the heartbreaking news that Natalie had experienced two pregnancy losses a few months apart.
And now, Nick has revealed on their podcast “The Viall Files,” that Natalie has unfortunately gone through the ordeal a third time.
He said, “As you can see, Natalie is not with us. There’s no really easy way to talk about this, so I’ll share a little bit… Sadly, Natalie experienced another miscarriage. It is her third this year, our third this year. It’s a, I mean, there’s no really good way to say it. It f**king sucks.”
Nick went on, sharing, “She’s obviously at home resting, healing. Both physically and emotionally. You know we experienced it the first time, but you don’t really know how to talk about it. But we want to be vulnerable with you guys, and obviously Natalie’s such a big part of the show. My partner in life and on this show, my co-host. And obviously, when she’s not here, people notice. And so, we certainly wanted to at least be open with you guys.”
Nick then revealed that the doctors are currently running tests to try to find answers.
“It’s definitely a little bit of a scary time. Just because for those people who have experienced something like this, when it happens the first time the doctors and everyone kind of acknowledge that while terrible, this is something that can happen,” he stated. “And then it happened the second time and… it’s far less normal to have two and three back-to-back. And so now we’re kind of in that very scary process of running tests and finding out more about ourselves, and it’s this weird thing of, like, you want them to find something, but you don’t want them to find something.”
Nick also shared his hope for the future, saying, “We have a lot of amazing blessings in our life, the first and foremost being River. Minus some morning sickness and things like that, we were very lucky to have a very fairly easy pregnancy. And despite what’s going on right now with us, our doctor keeps reminding us that that is the best sign of our future ability to grow our family.”
Nick ended with an update on how Natalie’s doing, sharing, “Overall, Natalie is doing okay physically and healing. She’s okay in that respect. But emotionally, we’re currently dealing with that. This whole experience has been very difficult, and this one in particular.”
We’re sending Nick, Natalie, and their whole family so much love during this difficult time.
