Vanessa Grimaldi Gets Candid About Her Hysteroscopy Post-Miscarriage and Reveals What Helped Her Recover
Opening up.
Bachelor Nation fans first met Vanessa Grimaldi on Season 21 of “The Bachelor.” Since her time on the show, Vanessa found love off-screen and married Josh Wolfe.
The two tied the knot on August 20, 2021, and welcomed their first child, Winston, together in September 2022.
Last year, Vanessa shared the tragic news that she experienced pregnancy loss after getting asked when she’s going to have another baby.
And earlier this year, the Bachelor Nation star revealed that she has heartbreakingly experienced her second pregnancy loss.
Now, she’s taken to social media to get candid about a recent surgery she had post-miscarriage and what helped her recover.
In a new post, she said, “After two months of nonstop bleeding post-miscarriage, I had to get a hysteroscopy to remove retained tissue. And what was the only thing that distracted me from the weight of it all? Talking about @thesummeriturnedpretty with the doctors and nurses and somehow starting a poll to see who was Team Conrad vs. Team Jeremiah. 😂 (Spoiler: nobody had watched the show yet lmao)”
Vanessa then opened up and vulnerably shared more about her surgery experience.
She said, “The last time I was strapped down for an operation was during my C-section with Winston and I had a full-blown panic attack on the table. So this time, right before they sedated me, I found myself quietly fighting back tears. I kept thinking… this is the last physical connection I’ll have to this pregnancy.”
Vanessa ended her post with a note of love and encouragement for anyone else going through something similar.
“If you’re going through something similar, just know: the surgery is manageable, and the physical recovery is surprisingly easy. It’s the emotional healing that takes time. And that’s okay. Sending you SO much love❤️🩹,” she expressed.
Vanessa also wrote over a video of her eating Jello in her hospital bed, “Healing, grieving, and still invested in fictional love triangles.”
We are keeping Vanessa and her family in our thoughts as they navigate their grief, and we’re sending her so much love.
