Haley Ferguson Opens Up About Recent Pregnancy Loss: ‘Hope Still Lives Here’
In our thoughts.
Bachelor Nation got to know Haley Ferguson Palve alongside her twin sister Emily Ferguson Karlsson on both “The Bachelor” and “Bachelor in Paradise.”
Since her time on the shows, Haley married Finnish hockey player Oula Palve in May 2021.
And the two welcomed their first child together, daughter Lovi, in April of last year.
Now, the Bachelor Nation star has taken to social media to reveal that heartbreaking news that she recently experienced pregnancy loss.
In a new video online, Haley opened up about going through an embryo transfer in hopes of conceiving another baby and documented the process of the transfer.
However, shortly after receiving the news she was pregnant, Haley revealed that she discovered it was a chemical pregnancy.
In the video, she shared, “It was definitely very shocking and I was not prepared to receive that we were not pregnant. The good news is that it did attach, so my uterine lining and everything was good and healthy. The doctor thinks it was probably something that was chromosomal with the embryo even though it was tested. There are still things that they can’t test for, so at least we know I’m still able to get pregnant and that’s positive.”
Haley also went on to express, “We still have this beautiful little nugget [Lovi] who’s healthy and happy and that’s all that truly, truly matters. It’s sad news, it sucks. We were excited for this age gap, they were gonna be two years apart. So now it’s time to step back and think about what to do next. We only have one more embryo left, and so now we have to take some time and think about what the next steps for us will be.”
Haley captioned her video with words of hope and optimism for the future.
She wrote, “Not every chapter ends the way we hope but each one brings me closer to the ending I’ve been praying for. 💫 Sharing my failed transfer story in today’s vlog. Not as defeat, but as a reminder that hope still lives here. 🌱✨”
We are sending Haley our love and we’re keeping her, Oula, and their entire family in our thoughts during this difficult time. We know Haley’s vulnerability and sharing her experience will help others going through a similar journey.
