Carly Waddell Reveals She Ended Engagement to Todd Allen Tressler and How She Feels Today
Opening up.
Bachelor Nation fans first met Carly Waddell on Season 19 of “The Bachelor” before she found love on “Bachelor in Paradise” with Evan Bass. The two married, welcomed kids Bella and Charlie, and later split in 2020.
Last year, Carly went public with Todd Allen Tressler, and the couple got engaged in the fall during a family trip to Costa Rica.
Just this summer, Carly was talking wedding plans and more children, but now she’s revealed the engagement is over.
Alongside a candid video, Carly wrote, “Real talk. This is def a post I have been delaying. But so I can feel a little more free. Here we go.”
In the clip, she told fans, “I’m always real with you guys, so I’m going to be real with you now. I’m not wearing a ring. I did break off my engagement about a month ago… It’s not a decision that I personally made overnight. It was really bad timing because the kids had just started school and sports and all the things. You know what? It is what it is.”
Carly added, “I feel very at peace with this decision. My kids are loving life in the new place. Honestly, dating after divorce and dating with kids is super difficult. You have to make tough decisions for yourself and for your family. So, that’s where I’m at.”
Many of Carly’s fellow Bachelor Nation stars filled the comments of her post with love.
Jade Roper Tolbert wrote, “Love you and I’m so proud of you for doing what’s best for you and the kids. ❤️❤️”
Jillian Harris added, “You’re a good mom and you’re a good human and don’t believe that everybody’s life needs to look a certain way, needs to follow a certain order or needs to ‘follow the rules’… not settling and striving for the best for you and your kids. You should be proud of that!!!”
And Tenley Molzahn wrote, “You’re an amazing mama! Praying for your continued peace 🫶 you’re doing great!”
We’re sending Carly and her family love during this new chapter, and we’re wishing her all the best in the future.
