Caelynn Bell Reflects on Her & Dean Bell’s Fertility Struggles: ‘Harder Than I Expected’
Opening up
Bachelor Nation fan-favorite couple Dean Unglert and Caelynn Miller-Keyes (now Bell) first found love on Season 6 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
Since then, the two have gotten engaged, bought a home in Colorado, and officially tied the knot in 2023 at Beyul Retreat in Meredith, Colorado.
Over the past year, Caelynn has been open with fans about their journey to start a family. Back in March, she shared that they were feeling “disappointed” in their attempts to conceive, and now, she’s offering a deeper update.
In a new Instagram video, Caelynn got candid about their experience, saying, “Dean and I have been trying to get pregnant for quite some time and honestly, it’s been harder than I expected. My mom got pregnant super easily so I figured it would happen quickly for me too but that has not been the case. This journey has been emotional, it’s been tough, it hasn’t been easy.”
She explained that she’s been using Natural Cycles to track her basal body temperature while TTC, noting, “Having all of my years’ worth of data in one place was very helpful for spotting trends in my cycle and any irregularities. I have been able to bring the data to my doctor to figure out what’s going on with me.”
Caelynn also revealed that she and Dean are beginning to think about possible next steps if they’re unable to conceive soon.
“Everyone’s body is different, and everyone’s journey looks so different. We are still within our first year of trying, but we’re already talking about what next steps to take. I’ve done some bloodwork and Dean is going to get some done as well just to make sure we’re all good,” she shared.
She closed her message on a hopeful note, saying, “We are going to take all the support we can get during this time.”
We’re sending Caelynn and Dean all our love as they continue navigating this chapter, and we know they’ll make incredible parents when the time comes.
