Chelsea Vaughn Gets Candid About an Ongoing Health Issue: ‘I Can’t Really Hide from It Anymore’
Opening up.
Bachelor Nation fans got to know Chelsea Vaughn on Season 25 of “The Bachelor” and Season 7 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
She recently moved back to New York City after living in Mexico City for a while and also revealed she’s in a new relationship.
Earlier this month, Chelsea shared that she has recently moved out of NYC for good and broke up with her boyfriend.
The Bachelor Nation star is currently living in Atlanta, Georgia and just took to social media to open up about an ongoing health issue she’s been facing.
In a new video, she shared, “I just got a bunch of blood drawn because I’m doing a full blood panel to see what’s going on with my health. The reason you haven’t seen me without a scarf lately is because my hair has been falling out at an alarming rate. And I did go to the dermatologist in New York and I got some answers, but I just want to make sure there’s not anymore, deeper health things going on because it is scary.”
Chelsea continued, “I feel like when your hair is coming out, it’s just such an obvious sign that something’s going on. I know I’ve been stressed and I know there’s been a lot of moving parts, I know I’m going through a breakup and I know I’ve been running around, but it’s a bit more than just a little extra shedding. And it’s scary, so I’m hoping that everything’s fine when I get the blood results back.”
The Bachelor Nation star then got candid about how she’s feeling and next steps she’s considering taking.
“I’m also just really self-conscious,” she admitted, “It’s to the point where it’s falling out in such random patches and patterns that I feel like I can’t even wear it out anymore. And I’m kind of thinking it’s to the point of no return where I just need to shave my head again, which I would do but last time I shaved my head it was because I wanted to and it was empowering. And now, I don’t want to shave it because my hair’s falling out.”
Chelsea captioned the post, “I’m self-conscious af about this but I can’t really hide from it anymore” and followers filled the comments with their love and encouragement.
We are sending Chelsea our love and we’re also hoping everything is fine when she gets her results back. We’re keeping her in our thoughts during this time.
