Bachelor Nation fans first met Carly Waddell on Season 19 of “The Bachelor” before she found love on “Bachelor in Paradise” with Evan Bass. The two married, welcomed kids Bella and Charlie, and later split in 2020.

Last year, Carly went public with her relationship with Todd Allen Tressler, and the couple got engaged in the fall during a family trip to Costa Rica. 

Just this summer, Carly was talking about wedding plans and more children, but a couple months ago, she revealed the engagement is over.

Now, the Bachelor Nation star is getting candid about trying to date again after ending her engagement. 

In a new video posted online, Carly said, “Okay, I need you guys real fast to go on a journey with me about how I’m not good at this dating thing that we’re supposed to be doing in life and how I tried the other day and it just really backfired.” 

Carly went on and shared a story about how she tried to give a cute guy her phone number while out at a bar. 

“I go out with my brother, my sister-in-law. Like, I never go out. And my friend’s there and we see this cute guy at a bar and I feel like we were kind of locking eyes. I don’t know, he was kind of far away. But anyway, I was like, ‘Okay, I think I’m going to give him my phone number,’” she shared. “So we leave the bar and I get a piece of paper and I just write my phone number. No name or anything so he doesn’t look me up.”

Carly then revealed that as she went to go give him her number, she discovered he wasn’t there. 

“He’s not there. And it’s just a table of his friend and maybe his parents, I’m not sure. And I get really close to the table and I see he’s not there. And instead of just being a normal person, I literally ran out of the bar,” she said. “In front of a whole band, I just ran out like I was a middle-schooler and I couldn’t talk to the cute guy at his locker because I got too nervous. So I’m doing the same things I was doing in middle school.” 

Carly shared what happened next in her caption, writing, “The end of the story is my sister-in-law went back in and gave him my number and he never called…😂 The good news is, I sorta tried! Baby steps 😂”
