Michelle Young Shares Health Update as She Recovers from Mycotoxin Illness
Opening up.
Bachelor Nation fans saw former Bachelorette Michelle Young look for love on Season 18 of “The Bachelorette” and Season 25 of “The Bachelor.”
Michelle ultimately found love off-screen with husband Jack Leius in October 2023, and the two officially tied the knot in a gorgeous Minnesota wedding ceremony surrounded by family and friends earlier this year.
Last month, the newlywed couple left for their honeymoon but had to cut their trip short due to health issues.
Michelle shared online that she had been dealing with health struggles for the past year and recently discovered that it was due to severe exposure to mold and mycotoxin illness.
Now, the Bachelor Nation star is going through treatment to help her body detox, and she took to social media over the weekend to share a new update on her health.
On her Instagram Story, she posted a picture of herself during one of her treatments and shared, “A little health update ♥️ I’ve been doing at home IV therapy once a week to help my body overcome this mold / mycotoxin illness and get my energy back. I can tell I get a little boost of energy the next few days after the treatment. Still have a long way to go with my health but do feel like this hydration therapy has helped me tremendously.”
Michelle went on and shared the plan for part of her treatment moving forward. She said, “Will eventually move from weekly to twice and then one a month once I start feeling better! For me personally this has really helped with my POTS-like symptoms and my energy.”
The Bachelor Nation star also revealed her new home was recently tested for mycotoxins and received good results.
“The company that came in to test our new spot for mold and mycotoxins feels confident about the results coming back clean after doing the assessment,” she shared. “They did suggest some things we can do with our plants and space to help keep everything in good standing. Huge relief though because we love it here 🥹”
We’re so glad that Michelle is starting to feel better, and we’re wishing her a speedy recovery!
