Ali Fedotowsky Manno Shares Unexpected Illness that Sent Her to the Emergency Room
Sending love.
Bachelor Nation fans got to know Ali Fedotowsky-Manno on Season 14 of “The Bachelor,” and again when she returned to our screens for Season 6 of “The Bachelorette” as the leading lady.
Since her time on the shows, Ali married her husband Kevin Manno in 2017 and gave birth to their two kids, Molly and Riley.
Ali has been keeping fans updated with her life online, and this week took to Instagram to reveal that she had to go to the emergency room due to an unexpected illness.
The Bachelor Nation star had shared on her Instagram Story that Kevin helped cut her hair and then teased in another post, “Apparently, the haircut situation made me violently ill. 🤪”
Over a photo of herself sitting in a hospital bed, she revealed, “I went from totally fine to having severe lower abdominal cramping every 20 minutes and after a few hours of that, my friend who’s a doctor told me I should be seen so getting checked out.”
Ali continued and shared more about her experience, describing what the pain from the cramping felt like.
She said, “I’m sure everything’s fine. But man, the only thing I can compare the pain to is childbirth contractions. Brought me to my knees in tears.”
In another Instagram Story, Ali shared an update and revealed the cause of her illness as well as next steps for recovery.
She shared, “I’m okay! They gave me some morphine and it took the pain away which was so very much needed. Had a CAT scan and I have colitis which is inflammation of the intestines. They’re gonna put me on an antibiotic and pain med to take home as well as a liquid diet til tomorrow.”
She continued, saying, “And I’ll go see a gastroenterologist just to be safe. I am over 40 so I guess I’m due for a colonoscopy anyway! Sounds fun! 🤪 ...Ulcerative colitis and Crohn's runs in my family but I'm really hoping this is just a one time occurrence for me.”
We’re so glad Ali is okay and on the road to recovery. We’re wishing her all the best and sending our love — we hope she feels better soon!
