Kaitlyn Bristowe Reveals Her Dog Pinot Needs to Go in for Surgery: ‘I’m a Nervous Wreck’

Bachelor Nation fans got to know and love Kaitlyn Bristowe on Season 19 of “The Bachelor” and Season 11 of “The Bachelorette.”
She famously got engaged to Jason Tartick in May 2021, and they welcomed two dogs into their lives — golden retrievers Ramen and Pinot.
The two ultimately ended their engagement and went their separate ways but planned on co-parenting their dogs.
A few months ago, Kaitlyn revealed the heartbreaking news that her dog Pinot has heart disease.
And now, the Bachelor Nation star has taken to Instagram to share another update about Pinot.
In a new video, she said, “A little Pinot pup date. He has to go in for surgery tomorrow morning so I obviously wanted to come here for your T’s and P’s (thoughts and prayers). I’m pretending to be okay right now, but I’m a nervous wreck.”
Pinot then started playing with his brother Ramen in the video and Kaitlyn started laughing, saying, “He’s totally himself! And he’s fine because obviously he doesn’t know he’s going in for surgery tomorrow.”
Kaitlyn explained more about Pinot’s surgery and how they first discovered he had heart disease.
She said, “The whole reason I found out Pinot had heart disease was because he needs to get a tooth pulled. So when he went to get his EKG, his heart was obviously not okay and that’s how they found out. So I had to get him on some heart meds and let that sink in before he could go get this tooth extracted. I’m just so scared anytime dogs have to go under, especially if he has a little bit of heart problems. But if you keep a rotten tooth in it could cause more infections. Please pray for Pinot. The love of my life, my sweetie pretty lil baby.”
Kaitlyn reassured that she would keep everyone updated on how things go with the surgery and how Pinot is doing.
