Juliana Pasquarosa Reveals She Broke Up with Grant Ellis Weeks Before Announcement & Reveals New Relationship
Opening up.
Bachelor Nation fans got to know Juliana Pasquarosa on Season 29 of “The Bachelor,” where she fell in love with and got engaged to Grant Ellis.
A few months ago, the two both took to their Instagram pages to confirm they have unfortunately ended their engagement and broken up.
Recently, the Bachelor Nation star revealed on the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast that Grant had “planned” different ways to announce their breakup shortly after the “Bachelor” finale.
And now, Juliana is sharing more details about the lead-up to their breakup, including being the one to end things weeks before announcing it on social media.
During her interview on the “Almost Famous Podcast,” Juliana confessed, “We were not on the same page once the finale kind of aired… That was just one piece of the puzzle.”
Reflecting back on the criticism Grant was receiving after breaking up with Litia Garr on the finale, Juliana said, “I have to give him grace, because it is so hard when it feels like the world is coming at you. That’s how I felt after the finale aired, and I was hoping for his support the way I supported him, and it wasn’t… It was about the optics and it was about what people are going to think, and if we break up, they’re going to think this, and if we stay together, they’re going to think that. And I’m like, ‘I don’t care.’”
The Bachelor Nation star then shared that the two had split weeks before announcing their breakup on social media and were separated while on a trip to Aruba with her family.
“The trip was booked and he ended up leaving early,” Juliana admitted. “I mean, I think it was like he just couldn’t do it, and it makes sense and it was fair. But I think you have to understand, before we broke up — because I broke up with him — I think we were drifting a bit naturally. But he still talked to my parents. He still talked to my brother-in-law.”
Juliana then revealed she’s started seeing someone new while continuing to heal.
She said, “It’s new, but it’s fun and it’s flirty and I like that. I think that coming out of that, it was so hard that I think I’ve been taking things really, really slow again, and it put me back a little bit into my old ‘I hate men’ vibe, and I’m not a man-hater. I’m not a woman-hater…
“So, I think now I was like, ‘Let me just give this guy a shot.’ He’s blown me up for, like, three straight months nonstop, and I’ve been ghosting him, and I was like, ‘You know what? Screw it. You’re cute.’ So, we’re going to hang out.”
We appreciate hearing from Juliana and we can’t wait to hear more about her new relationship when she feels ready to share.
