Charity Lawson Reveals Her True Feelings on Taylor Frankie Paul as the Bachelorette, Wedding Details, and More!
Spilling the tea.
Bachelor Nation fans watched Charity Lawson and Dotun Olubeko fall in love and get engaged on Season 20 of “The Bachelorette.”
Since then, the couple has been keeping fans updated with their lives on social media. And recently, Charity did an interview with “It Girl” online, spilling the tea on her wedding, Taylor Frankie Paul as the Bachelorette, and more!
While Charity talked about her and Dotun’s wedding, the former Bachelorette stated that she is not revealing the date.
She said, “I have made it my thing that I’m never sharing to the public, so you guys will know once wedding content starts coming out. But I was like, I don’t think I want to share with the public the date.”
She also revealed, “Dotun is Nigerian, so we’re doing a cultural component of the ceremony… [And] there will be a numerous amount of Bachelor Nation people there.”
Charity then shared her true feelings about Taylor Frankie Paul as the Bachelorette and why.
She said, “Honestly, I have mixed feelings, I’m not gonna lie. But I’m very excited for her season. I have mixed feelings for this reason, because I know how difficult the show can be. And I say that because when I became the Bachelorette, I felt like I was at the most healthiest point of time in my life, and even that, coming on the other side of it I was like, ‘Oh, this just put me through the wringer.’… Knowing Taylor Frankie’s history and how she was on MomTok, I just hope that she is surrounded by people that are going to really support her through this journey. I obviously want the best for her and I am rooting for love. I’m hopeful that it can happen because it definitely can, as we all know. But I think it is a good choice.”
She continued, “I think it’s gonna be exciting. Like a rebrand of the franchise, and I will be watching. I will be sat, front and center… She’s really chill and she’s really sweet, so I can tell that she’s taking this seriously.”
Charity also admitted that she thinks the biggest misconception people have about the show is that true love can’t be found, and stated that it can.
She said, “I feel like we have produced really good love stories, so I think… okay, to fans, yes, it’s a love story, but I still feel like they don’t genuinely believe that. So it’s constantly like we’re living in a state of having to prove ourselves, which doesn’t matter, but yeah. I think they think it’s not real, but it can happen.”
We love hearing from Charity and can’t wait to find out more about her and Dotun’s wedding. We also can’t wait to watch Taylor’s love story unfold on the new season of “The Bachelorette,” starting March 22!
