Sarah Herron Reflects on Her Pregnancy Loss 3 Years Later: ‘You’ve Watched Over Us’
Sending love.
Bachelor Nation got to know Sarah Herron on Season 17 of “The Bachelor,” and again on Seasons 1 and 3 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
Sarah found love off-screen with husband Dylan Brown, and after many highs and lows of her IVF journey, she revealed they were expecting a baby boy in 2023.
However, Sarah then took to social media to share the tragic news that their son Oliver had passed away shortly after he was born prematurely at 24 weeks.
She eventually did more rounds of IVF and welcomed twin girls in July 2024.
Now, Sarah is reflecting on her loss three years later in a new post on Instagram.
Over a video of memories from the last few years, she wrote, “Today would have been our son’s third birthday. And while we aren’t throwing a party for a little boy who loves trucks…or wrapping gifts for him to open…We ARE celebrating him. And the gifts he has given us for the last three years. Happy Heavenly Birthday, sweet boy.”
Sarah further expressed her reflections in the caption of her video. She said, “Three years ago, on a very cold day in Denver, you briefly came into this world so we could meet you, and then you said goodbye. You cracked our hearts wide open, baby boy. Something in me just knew you were never meant to be a soul who left quietly.”
She continued, “Every day since you’ve been gone has been filled with abundance — even in the most painful sense. I never knew how much heartbreak could also awaken me. You’ve watched over us, and provided for us. Thank you for cracking us open. And while I wouldn’t wish the pain on anyone, or to live through it again, I’m forever grateful to have walked this path that only you and I will know.”
Followers and loved ones filled the comments of Sarah’s post, sharing their love for their family.
We are keeping Sarah and her family in our thoughts during this time. And we’re sending all our love to her and other moms who have gone through a similar journey.
