Tenley Molzahn Opens Up About Her Surprising Postpartum Experience
Keeping it real.
Bachelor Nation fans first met Tenley Molzahn Leopold on Season 14 of “The Bachelor.” She later returned for Season 1 of “Bachelor Pad” and Season 2 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
Tenley ended up finding love off-screen, and met her now-husband Taylor Leopold back in 2016.
The two got married in 2018 and welcomed their first daughter, Rell Jaymes Leopold, in 2020, and their second daughter, Banks Alaia Leopold, in May 2024.
Tenley loves to keep followers updated with her life online and this week took to her Instagram to open up about her surprising postpartum experience.
Next to a video of her spinning and hugging her daughter, she shared, “Week 4 of my Back to Me journey & here’s 4 things I didn’t expect to STILL be doing at 20 months postpartum: Still keeping my workouts lower intensity. 🤪I love to move and I love a good workout. But my body is still asking for a slower, more gentle rebuild. Lots of walking, lighter strength, and not necessarily doing what I want to be doing for a workout. It’s humbling… and honestly, it’s probably what I need.”
Tenley went on, revealing, “I didn’t expect to still see and feel so much physical evidence of pregnancy. Diastasis recti that’s more than just cosmetic, and possibly even an umbilical hernia. It’s a reminder that some things take time, and some things take real support and attention to heal. I still need to see a specialist… almost 2 years later, it’s time to make the time for it!! 🙈”
The Bachelor Nation star continued, getting candid about not being able to do certain workouts she used to love and still figuring out how to be a mom of two.
She said, “My girls are such a gift. Truly. And still, I’m learning the juggle, the rhythm, the dance of loving and caring for two little humans well. It’s beautiful and stretching all at once. There’s nothing I love more. But wow, I definitely don’t have this perfected, and I thought I’d have it a little more down by now!”
Tenley ended her post with a gentle reminder to herself and others that recovery takes time. She wrote, “Postpartum isn’t a moment. It’s a season that keeps unfolding. So if you’re STILL feeling surprised by the things you’re doing (or not doing), I think it’s okay. At least, I’m telling myself that. 😉”
We always love hearing from Tenley and appreciate her being so open. We love her adorable family!
