Jenn Tran Shares Her Lunar New Year Traditions and Celebration: ‘Was Feeling Homesick’
Continuing traditions.
Bachelor Nation fans first met Jenn Tran on Season 28 of “The Bachelor” and then on Season 21 of “The Bachelorette,” where she was the first ever Asian American Bachelorette.
While on the show, Jenn shared a lot about her Vietnamese heritage and we even got to see her speak Vietnamese with her mom during a sweet mother-daughter moment.
Now, Jenn has taken to Instagram to celebrate Lunar New Year and share some of her traditions.
In a new post on her Instagram Story, Jenn revealed that she originally wasn’t going to celebrate the holiday due to being away from family this year.
She said, “I wasn’t gonna do anything bc I love to celebrate w/ my family and they’re not in Miami but I was feeling homesick and went and got stuff to celebrate — will show a pic of my Lunar New Years set up later!!!!”
The Bachelor Nation star then posted snapshots of her celebration and highlighted that this is the first time she’s done it on her own.
She shared, “This was my first time setting up my own little thap nhang for the new year in my own house! I always said I’d do it when I had kids but I want to start and continue traditions for myself too! Even if it’s just me at home!”
Jenn also posted information about this year’s sign, the Fire Horse, and outlined its meaning.
She shared a graphic that read, “The Year of the Fire Horse feels natural to you. There is movement in it. Independence. A reminder that you are at your best when you trust yourself. You may notice a stronger desire to take initiative or make decisions you have been thinking about for a while. This year supports forward motion, but it also asks you to choose what is truly worth your energy. Not everything needs your fire. The right things will feel right.”
We love hearing from Jenn and learning more about her Vietnamese heritage. It looks like she had a beautiful celebration!
