Caila Quinn Shares What She Feels Most Guilty About in Motherhood
Keeping it real.
Fans first met Caila Quinn Burrello on Season 20 of “The Bachelor,” and she later appeared on Season 3 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
While Caila didn’t meet “the one” on the beach, she eventually found love off-screen with her now-husband, Nick Burrello.
The two tied the knot in May 2021 and later welcomed daughter Teddi in 2023 and son Christian in 2024. In December, Caila welcomed their third baby, Grayson.
Caila loves to keep followers updated with her life as a mom, and this week, she opened up in a new video about what she feels most guilty about in motherhood.
“I don’t know why I feel guilty saying this out loud,” she said, “but we hired a nanny. I said it, we hired a nanny.”
The Bachelor Nation star went on, explaining why they hired a nanny and the reason she feels guilty about it.
“We are both working parents who need consistent and reliable childcare,” she stated. “Second reason is we don’t have a village that lives near us. We’re not fortunate to have family nearby to ask for help. And even if we did, I hate asking for help. I don’t know why most moms are scared of it. We think that we have to do it all alone, and yes, my parents did move 15 minutes away from us. But they’re only in town once every two or three months. So that is very unreliable, and I can’t count on that.”
Caila explained that she also wanted to keep her 2-month-old son nearby to breastfeed him or take him on a walk, which is why hiring a nanny made the most sense.
The mom of three shared that since hiring extra help, she has become “so much happier” and feels more present with her kids.
“Our nanny started a little over two weeks ago and I’m laughing at myself because I am a calmer and happier mom because of it,” she confessed. “We’re not going to have this kind of help forever. We saved up for it because we just knew this chapter would be difficult without support… It’s okay to ask for help. It’s okay to build your village. Whether it’s a mother’s helper, a nanny, childcare, daycare, asking family for help, whatever it is that you need to find support. If it’s possible, don’t be afraid.”
We appreciate Caila’s honesty and we love hearing about her family. We’re so proud of her and we love the reminder that it’s always okay to ask for help.
