Arie & Lauren Luyendyk Took Their Daughter to a Pumpkin Patch and It's the Cutest
Autumn is upon us, which means colorful foliage, apple cider, all things pumpkin-flavored, and, of course, Halloween.
While the holiday is the perfect time to dust off those cherished vintage clothes or channel your favorite television character in costume, nothing is cuter than babies experiencing fall’s offerings. It’s (basically) a scientific fact. Arie and Lauren Luyendyk’s daughter Alessi is a perfect example.
Alessi recently visited her first pumpkin patch, and the photos are absolutely adorable. All three Luyendyks uploaded photos from their excursion, and Alessi had a huge smile on her face in every single one. The 5-month-old baby wrote (well, probably her mom or dad) about the experience and what it was like to sit among “big orange blobs.”

Alessi’s caption started off by announcing that she’s about to turn 20 weeks old! She wrote, “It’s the month of Halloween and mom and dad took me to this crazy place with big orange blobs all over the ground. I think they were called pumpkins?! Well it was all so weird.”
It continued, “They put me in the middle of them and they made all these faces and noises like a bunch of idiots until I gave them a little grin. I held out a little longer just for giggles.”
It was worth it, because the grin is precious!
Her caption also covered the big news that she’s transitioning into eating solid foods now. She “tried banana today and I think I kinda like that one!” Apparently, Alessi finds banana “much more appetizing” than avocado, a.k.a. the “green mush” that she tried last week. Nibbling on the avocado was her first go at eating “grown up food.” She may not have liked it then, but perhaps her views will change once she has it mashed up on toast.
Alessi wrote in her caption that she and her parents are heading to Hawaii. The state holds a special place in her parents’ hearts because it’s where they got married in January.Arie and Lauren got married a second time in Las Vegas in September, which Alessi attended.
