I secretly love when you correct me when I mispronounce words or when I leave a mess in the kitchen and you make me clean it up. I love all of the small moments in our life just as much as the big ones.”

His sentimental note concluded with, “Thank you for making me the happiest man alive. I love all of you Cass ♥️”

Cassie’s tribute to her beau offered similar sentiments. Her photo showed them kissing on a dock on the bright blue Caribbean waters of St. Lucia. “I can’t believe we’ve already been together for a year,” she wrote in her caption. “Although it does feel like I’ve known you for much longer, this year went by in the blink of an eye.”

She added, “It was full of lots of changes, growth, and a million amazing memories with you :) I am the luckiest girl. I couldn’t ask for anything more than to have a man like you by my side. You mean the world to me. I love you, best friend.”

Their love story differs from those of many of Colton’s “Bachelor” predecessors. He took his season into his own hands when he realized he’d do whatever it took to be with Cassie — including jumping over a fence. The couple has been nearly inseparable since the day they were finally able to go public with their relationship in March.

The 27-year-old isn’t rushing his relationship with Cassie, either. He’s taking it day by day, and he won’t give into outside pressure to propose to Cassie. In August, he told People, “She doesn’t have a ring on her finger yet — but she will one day.”

He offered upcoming Bachelor Peter Weber similar advice, urging him to follow his heart. Colton told Cosmopolitan, “My season specifically exemplified that there’s an expectation to get engaged. But my only advice is just, like, it’s your life at the end of it. They have another Bachelor. They have another Bachelorette. So you really need to keep in mind to do what’s best for you and what’s best for your relationship, because it’s your real life.”
