Trista & Ryan Sutter Celebrate 16th Wedding Anniversary
Trista and Ryan Sutter are celebrating their sweet 16!
The happy couple marked their sixteenth wedding anniversary on December 6, and Trista paid tribute to her husband in a moving Instagram post. She shared a photo from their wedding day and wrote, “15 years and 364 days ago, I jumped into this man’s arms and our beautiful future together and have never looked back. @ryansutter, you are the best parts of my past, present, and future and I am thankful every day for the life we have created, together. Happy (almost) 16th anniversary!”
Many fellow Bachelorettes commented on Trista’s photo. Becca Kufrin from Season 14 of the show wrote, “Brb sobbing. Congrats you two!” DeAnna Pappas Stagliano commented, “Love this! Happy Anniversary.”
The Sutters tied the knot on December 6, 2003 in Rancho Mirage, California, in a televised special. Trista and Ryan renewed their vows ten years later in Vail, Colorado, where they currently live.

Trista told People magazine at the time of their vow renewal, “It’s an understatement to say I hit the jackpot. He is such a good person. He gets better with age.”
She explained that they “live a normal life” despite meeting “in a fantastical way.” She said, “It’s what we did with our relationship afterward that matters most and was able to get us to the 10-year mark.”
Trista represents many firsts in Bachelor Nation. She made it to the final two on Alex Michel’s season of “The Bachelor” (Season 1), but he ultimately chose Amanda Marsh over Trista. Much beloved by “Bachelor” fans, the former Miami Heat dancer took the helm as the inaugural Bachelorette a few months later.
Firefighter Ryan Sutter stole Trista’s heart, and the rest is “Bachelorette” history. She paved the way for future seasons, proving every day that true love can find its way up the Bachelor Mansion driveway.
Trista and Ryan have two children together, Max and Blakesley, and they’re always up to new adventures in Colorado and beyond.
