The Infamous 'The Bachelorette' Windmill Can Be Yours for the Night

Hannah and Pilot Peter spent the evening in this untraditional lodging together during their Fantasy Suite date in Crete, Greece. As it turns out, so can you!
This “Rustic Traditional Windmill” is available to reserve on Airbnb for just $56 per night. It’s located in the small village of Nikithianos, which is apparently known for its windmills. According to the Airbnb site, the windmill can accommodate up to four people. It has one double bed, a sofa bed, and a bathroom. However, the bathroom is “not located inside the main area.” Rather, it’s “accessible through exterior stairs, one flight below.” Additionally, there’s free parking, hangers, a kitchen, and breakfast provided.
Guests seem to capital-L love this temporary residence, as evidenced by its 5-star rating. Hosts Giorgos and Athina have received high praise in the comments, too. Many people love the fact that the windmill looks over a valley of olive trees and that it’s convenient to other parts of Crete.
Windmills were once extremely prominent on this Greek island. Nikithianos is located in Lasithi region, which was once home to 10,000 windmills! According to Atlas Obscura, only about 5,000 still exist.
Fantasy Suite or not, this specific windmill is sure to create some vacation magic that you likely won’t find elsewhere.
