Jade Roper Shares Story About 'Accidentally' Giving Birth to Her Second Child
Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert have officially welcomed their baby boy, but the delivery didn’t necessarily go as planned.
On July 30, Jade posted a photo on Instagram of herself holding her newborn. While all of that sounds like a pretty normal birth announcement, it’s the location that makes it all the more unique. In the picture, Jade holds her son in a closet while a paramedic stands in the background and her mom and mother-in-law sit nearby.
“I accidentally gave birth at home last night, in our master closet,” Jade began her caption. She explained it was “not at all what I had planned.”
Jade continued, “I’ll share my whole birth story soon, but long story short, my waters broke and 75 minutes later I gave birth to our healthy baby boy while clutching a bench in our closet.”

The 32-year-old called it “one of the scariest moments of my life because I felt so out of control.”
She wrote, “Tanner, Tanner’s mom, my mom and the medics and firefighters kept me going when I felt like the world was caving in on me and my unborn baby. I was going to share the happy, cute Instagrammable pics first, but this felt right to me. So incredibly grateful for the support system we had and for this beautiful boy I get to hold in my arms.”
Tanner posted the same picture on his Instagram and joked in his caption about how quickly the baby arrived. “Might have to name him ‘Jimmy John’ Tolbert... because that was a freaky fast delivery...” he wrote.
In true Chris Harrison fashion, he commented, “Now that’s the most dramatic delivery ever.”
Now we just have to find out their baby boy’s name. Last we checked, her bracket of fan favorite names was down to Reed, Beckett, Brooks, and Easton.
