Blake Hortsmann Reflects on 'Rough' Time During 'Bachelor in Paradise'
Blake Hortsmann didn’t exactly have the smoothest sailing during Season 6 of “Bachelor in Paradise.” He knows it, too.
The 30-year-old reflected on his time on the show in a long Instagram post Monday night. Blake sent himself home after professing his feelings to Kristina Schulman, who didn’t reciprocate those same emotions. Kristina, too, left “Paradise” after turning down Blake’s romantic gestures.
His tearful SUV ride out of “Paradise” illustrated his deep heartbreak and disappointment in how everything played out over the course of the season. Blake wrote about his few weeks on the show and some of the main takeaways from that experience.
Blake began, “To say paradise was rough for me is an understatement. I have no one to blame but myself for that. It’s not easy putting yourself and all of your mistakes out there for the world to see. No matter the differences all of us had on that beach, I will always have respect for each and every one of you, being brave enough to be yourselves and chase the love we all feel we deserve.”
He also wanted to remind his followers that the men and women who go on this show “are all human and not characters on television.”

His caption continued on to thank many of his supporters and friends who “sent me kind words and encouraging messages.”
Blake concluded, “I hope that this is not the end of my story and I can look back at this summer and be grateful for the lessons learned and the friends made.”
He ended his note on a rather positive and somewhat mocking note. He included the hashtag “#imstillnotgonnastopdancing” and, because he had to, “#imstillgoingtostagecoach.”
Not even a little bit (okay, a lot) of “Bachelor in Paradise” drama will become between Blake and his Stagecoach tickets!
