Catherine celebrated her upcoming baby with friends and family in a very “obnoxious pink, girly, feminine” get-together. The 33-year-old insisted that despite the fact the shower was pink-themed, this was not a gender reveal. Catherine and Sean have waited to find out the sex of their other two babies, Samuel and Isaiah, until birth.

In her Instagram Story videos, Catherine reiterated multiple times that the pink theme did not equate to having a girl. She merely wanted a pink party, and that’s what she got. She explained in one video, “The reason why I’m throwing myself a pink baby shower is because the gender is currently ambiguous. If it turns out it’s a boy, I’m going to have to wait a very long time to have another girly party. So I’m doing obnoxious pink, girly, feminine, whatever, because I’ve never gotten to do anything girly.”

She added, “Do not be confused. This is not a gender reveal.”

The mom of soon-to-be-three shared photos and videos of the gathering on social media. She wore a pink short-sleeved dress, and many of her guests donned a similar color palette. The space was filled with pink and silver balloons and there were also tables filled with petit-fours, finger sandwiches, macaroons, pink cotton candy, and other snacks.  She captioned the slideshow of photos, “We don’t know if the baby is a girl or not, but we’re gonna party as if it is.”

Catherine and Sean announced in June that they were expecting baby no. 3, and both parents have made it known that they want another female strolling around the Lowe residence. The happy parents told People magazine after the big news, “I had wanted to try for a girl and so that went through my head… I definitely am praying very hard for a girl. I’m trying to think girl thoughts.” No matter the sex, Sean and Catherine will “love this baby no matter what.”

In September, the Season 17 Bachelor and Catherine ventured to London and Amsterdam for a babymoon getaway. They took in the famous local sites, dined on all types of international cuisine, and spent valuable time together before they become a family of five.

On October 20, she posted a picture with her eldest, Samuel, and wrote about her “biggest fear before having kids.” She wrote on Instagram, “My biggest fear before having Samuel was that I wouldn’t be naturally maternal. Not the pregnancy pains or the delivery unknowns or the sleep deprivation everyone talked about. That I wouldn’t be the mother he needed because I didn’t think I had the motherly instincts.”

Her caption continued, “Now, I’m 7 months pregnant with my third child and I cannot wait to share all the love I know I have to offer him/her. It comes on strong, people and I know it will never leave. My heart has grown to annoyingly adore each one of my sweet babies.”
