Demi Burnett Launches 'Sex Positive' Clothing Line
Demi Burnett is sharing a message close to her heart — in a fashionable way.
The “Bachelor in Paradise” Season 6 alumna launched a fashion line called Sex Positive in collaboration with clothing company The Laundry Room. Demi shared the news in a behind-the-scenes video posted to Instagram that delves into the significance of her clothing and the meaning behind it.
She says in the video, “I’ve grown up with people who are trying to be perfect all the time. Perfect is ridiculous. It’s a made-up thing. Be you, and we’ll celebrate that.”
Demi explains she “had a spiritual awakening one day” when she realized “none of this matters.” She elaborates, “Why would I care about this stuff when it comes to someone I want in my life? I care about how they treat other people. I realize that I felt that way about other people, so why can’t I apply that to myself?”
The Texas native then dives into the “sex positive” aspect of her line and why she hopes people will finally end the stigmas related to sex and sexuality.
“All of the other girls that I know that are labeled ‘sluts,’ I’ve never thought of them like that. I’ve never seen them in that light. I was not personally judging them on their decisions, because they were good people to me,” she says.
Demi continues, “The second a woman wants to have fun, it’s shameful. I think it’s important to be sex positive. Be a freak or don’t, just be whoever you are and own it. Let’s stop defining people based on the sex they’re having and their sexual preferences.”

Her apparel ranges in color and design. There are tie-dye crop tops and dresses, as well as monochromatic flowy shirts and joggers.
Demi made “Bachelor in Paradise” history over the summer when she came out as bisexual and began the first same-sex relationship on any “Bachelor” show. She and Kristian Haggerty left “Paradise” as an engaged couple (they ended their engagement in October), and changed the conversation about the show as a whole. “Bachelor in Paradise” was even nominated for a GLAAD Media Award this year.
The 24-year-old expresses at the end of her video, “Life is already magical. There are so many opportunities to make magical moments, memories, and experiences. I am Demi. That’s who I am.”
