Kevin Wendt Wins Fiancé of the Year for Astrid Loch's Birthday Video from Ice-T
One member of an “elite squad of detectives” wished Astrid Loch a happy birthday, and this is her story.
Kevin Wendt’s birthday surprises for his fiancée continued on Friday with an emphasis on the “public” in “public displays of affection.” For starters, he had news anchors wish a “happy birthday to the queen of Canada, Astrid” on the morning news. She turns 30 on February 23.
The gifts kept on coming as Astrid shared a video on Instagram sent to her by none other than “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” star Ice-T. He began the birthday video, “What’s up, Sugar T? It’s Ice-T, Astrid. How on earth do I know they call you Sugar T? Well, your fiancé Kevin got at me. He told me you moved to Canada from Florida. Now that’s a different move.”
He continued, commending her decision to relocate to a complete opposite climate, “Most people are going to move from Canada to Florida to get warm. You moved from Florida to Canada, so Astrid, I know you love Kevin, dear God. That’s a rough move for anyone, but that’s neither here nor there.”

Ice-T urged Kevin and Astrid that even though they "watch a lot of 'SVU' to the point where you think you can kill each other," they shouldn't follow that course of action.
Astrid and Kevin got engaged on August 28 and will tie the knot in November. According to Ice-T, he plans on "showing up whether you invite me or not" just to "cause confusion and chaos."
He ended, "But love is love, Astrid. I got love for anybody named Sugar T. Send some love back to Kevin 'cause he made this happen, so he’s a cool cat."
For what it's worth, Kevin commented on the video and tagged Ice-T, writing, "Whaduppp sugar T! 😂 (@icet see you November in Florida 👊🏻)"
The "Bachelor in Paradise" Season 5 alumna joked about their shared love of "SVU" and crime shows in her birthday tribute to Kevin on February 1. She wrote at the end of a list of her favorite things about him, "He loves true crime and has planned my murder PERFECTLY. If I ever go missing make sure to check the walls."
On Thursday, Kevin whipped up his "speciality" Nutella strawberry French toast for Astrid while she worked out at the gym, and Astrid called it the "sweetest surprise."
