Why Chris Harrison Thinks Victoria F. Is Peter Weber's 'Kryptonite'
Chris Harrison has some thoughts about Peter Weber and Victoria F.’s relationship on “The Bachelor,” and now he’s sharing his theories.
The show's host stopped by "Bachelor Happy Hour" and chatted with Rachel Lindsay and Becca Kufrin all about Peter's Fantasy Suite dates in Gold Coast, Australia. Peter spent quality time with Hannah Ann, Victoria F., and Madison, although his date with the latter ended in tears and uncertainty about their future.
In the podcast episode, Chris discussed the three women and why they stayed in the same hotel together, but he also touched on Peter's turbulent relationship with the Virginia Beach, Virginia, native. Peter and Victoria's interactions have caused many a tear to be shed, and Peter shocked Bachelor Nation when he kept her around after their volatile hometown date.
The 48-year-old explained that he understood their relationship dynamic due to his own "missteps in life." He shared, "I had two conversations with two men in the last five days who basically defined the same relationship Peter is in with Victoria. You get to a point — I did after my divorce — of a crazy chemistry relationship. It’s on fire. It’s on a level you don’t even understand and it’s coming at you at 1,000 degrees, and you’ve never had that kind of passion before."
Chris said that kind of relationship is "not sustainable." He went on, "Peter said, ‘Everything in our relationship is great, but we don’t communicate well.’ What do you mean everything’s fine? That just completely explained everything in this relationship."
The longtime host had a "hot and heavy" relationship like that after his own divorce, but it didn't succeed for a number of reasons. He admitted, "It was not working. It was volatile and it was wrong on so many levels. You break up and you get back in and you do it again."
Chris thought back and drew parallels to Peter and Victoria. He analyzed, "[Peter] can’t help himself. She is not only the drug he needs, she’s also kryptonite. He does [want to go to the Fantasy Suite with her], but it goes beyond that. It’s that relationship you want to fix and save because it’s great when it’s good, but when it’s bad, it’s just sewage."
