Why Performing on 'The Bachelor' Was a 'Perfect Fit' for Tenille Arts
For Tenille Arts, her career can be separated in two distinct sections: pre-"Bachelor" and post-"Bachelor."
The 25-year-old country singer from Saskatchewan, Canada, opened up to Forbes in February and recently shared additional details with "Bachelor Nation" about her career trajectory and how it took off after her concerts on the show.
Tenille, who is named after the 1970s duo Captain & Tennille, told the publication "everything changed" after her first performance. She made her franchise debut on Arie Luyendyk Jr.'s season of "The Bachelor" and returned the following two seasons to serenade dates for Colton Underwood and Peter Weber.
This year bore some extra significance. Tenille sang her hit song "Somebody Like That" and said it "felt really different." She explained to "Bachelor Nation" her concert for Peter and Madison Prewett was a "stand-out moment for me because we were part of something really special: the very first one-on-one date on the premiere of the whole season."

She described Peter and Madison as "so excited for what was to come, and it felt like a really hopeful moment."
While it's romantic to get serenaded by and slow dance to a chart-topping singer on a date, Tenille admitted the situation can be "a little awkward." However, she "always tried to focus on making sure they had a great time."
She's become more experienced over the years in terms of singing on television, especially for one-on-one dates. She told "Bachelor Nation," "The very first time I performed on the show I was very new to television, so I didn’t know what cameras to look at, or what to do. I found myself staring at two people making out. The third time around I knew exactly what I was doing and where to look while still making sure the couple was comfortable."
Tenille skyrocketed to fame after her "Bachelor" debut, and it's all felt entirely surreal to her. She loves her fanbase and feels extremely thankful for the show helping it grow. She shared with "Bachelor Nation," "It’s been so amazing to watch it grow. I would have never expected that 'The Bachelor' would be such an important part of my career, but since my very first performance, they have helped me out so much! 'The Bachelor' fans love country music, so it was just a perfect fit."
She added, "I’m so grateful to them for giving me this huge opportunity THREE times! The new fans I have are incredible and we will always have these special performances to remember together!"
Tenille's résumé is stacked with impressive opportunities: She sang the Canadian National Anthem at the 2020 NBA All-Star game and also performed at the famed Grande Ole Opry, which she called "the proudest moment of my career so far." Her entire family flew in from Canada to be there for her "special night" and see her get "accepted into that country music family."

Tenille is a tried and true member of Bachelor Nation, too. She's been watching the show since 2010, but if given the chance, would "love to go on 'Bachelor in Paradise because bedsides the relationships, it looks like a great time to hang out with friends on the beach!"
She describes her time on the show as "fun, exciting, and unforgettable," and if the past few years have been any indication, the future looks bright for Tenille Arts.
