The Season 20 Bachelor popped the question to his girlfriend Jessica Clarke on Saturday, March 27, in Franklin, Tennessee. She shared photos on social media from the romantic moment, which happened in her backyard.

Jessica captioned the images of Ben proposing, "I don’t remember everything you said, but I know that I said yes. I woke up in a dream today and I get to live in this dream every day from now on (eeeep)."

Bachelor Nation showered the happy couple with love and enthusiastic comments. Ashley Iaconetti wrote, "I’m soooo happy for you guys!!! Your love is so beautiful! I’m so glad you found each other! Look at what Instagram did!! Question: How’d he convince you to put jeans on?"

Becca Kufrin added, "So flipping happy for you two and can’t wait to celebrate with so much champagne! Your love, support and respect for one another is beautiful, and I can’t wait to see where this life will take you together."

Raven Gates wrote, "Oh my heart is MELTING!!! I am sooo happy for you guys."

Chris Harrison posted a screenshot of a FaceTime call he and his girlfriend Lauren Zima had with Ben and Jessica where she showed off her new bling. He captioned the photo, "We’ve come a long way my friend. Congratulations to @higgins.ben finding the love of his life and getting engaged to the beautiful @jessclarke_ All my blessings to these two."

Will we see Chris Harrison at the altar? Only time will tell on that one!

Ben, who just celebrated his 31st birthday, and Jessica shared the story behind their engagement with "Entertainment Tonight," telling the site he initially planned on proposing in New York during a "Bachelor Live On Stage" show.

After spending time at home in Indiana, Ben traveled to Tennessee to be with Jessica's family. Ben's parents also came in for the happy day. He explained, "I was super nervous. She's my best friend, my partner and I love her. I was nervous to kind of do this whole thing in front of her. I wasn't anxious, it's just a big moment!"

Though the proposal happened at home rather than in New York, Jessica feels grateful for how it all played out. She said, "This is exactly how I would have wanted it to be. "Central Park would have been magical and special in its own way. But it's really cool that we just got to be together last night and not really have to talk to anyone else but my family. It was great. It was perfect. I couldn't imagine it a better way."

The newly engaged couple has been together for a little over a year, and he's been gushing about her since day one. Ben brought Jessica to Rhode Island for Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon's fairytale wedding, and he discussed on his podcast how welcoming all his friends were to his new fiancée.

Jared and Ashley's wedding marked the first time she had "been surrounded by some of my closest friends all in one room," and she meshed perfectly with them.
