The Advice Becca Kufrin Wishes She Could Share with Herself 5 Years Ago
Becca Kufrin in 2020 would love to share some words of wisdom with Becca Kufrin in 2015.
The Season 14 Bachelorette joined Rachel Lindsay for a virtual "Bachelor Happy Hour" happy hour on Wednesday and responded to a bunch of questions about her life on and off the show. One fan inquired what piece of advice she would give to herself five years ago, and Becca instantly knew what to say.
"A piece of advice I would give myself five years ago would be to just relax, not to be on any timeline, and date yourself," she said emphatically.
Becca continued, "Be yourself. Be independent. Figure out what you want. That will fill you and make you happy in the long run. It will all lead to good things."
This aligns with what she spoke about at another point in the Instagram Q&A when she responded to a question about what she was grateful for. She said, "In the show aspect of things, I learned patience, because it’s a lot of waiting. You can’t be in control. You really just have to go to with the flow."
She also explained she's learned how to "appreciate the little moments, interactions, memories, and times you've had with your loved ones" because she's coped with a lot of loss in her life.
Becca recently reminisced about her first date with Garrett Yrigoyen on "The Bachelorette," and focused on one specific moment from the evening — their dance. She posted photos and videos from their night in Park City, Utah, when they got serenaded by country singer Granger Smith.
Other life lessons are learned better late than never — like changing a tire. On Thursday, Becca shared a video of herself changing a flat tire on her car with Garrett providing some verbal assistance.
Patience and figuring out what she wanted worked out well for Becca! She's happily engaged to Garrett, she's a co-host of "Bachelor Happy Hour" and "The Bachelor Live on Stage," and she has her own clothing line — and this is only the beginning.
