Ben Higgins Opens Up About Living on the 'Bachelor Live on Stage' Bus
They say home is where the heart is, and for Ben Higgins, that meant a tour bus traveling across the country.
Ben and Becca Kufrin co-host "The Bachelor Live on Stage," which is currently on hiatus, but already has shows rescheduled and planned for the near future. Before their break, Rachel Lindsay met up with Becca and Ben on one of their tour buses for a special episode of "Bachelor Happy Hour," which was released April 3 (and Becca's birthday!).
The "Live on Stage" co-hosts chatted about their experiences on the road and how they feel like they're one giant family with the entire cast and crew.
"I feel really good about life right now because we’re a part of something special," Ben said on "Bachelor Happy Hour."

The "something special" applies to the show on- and offstage. The cast of the show travels together on two tour buses, with six people on each. His bus comprises the head of the tour, two dancers, the social media manger, and their bus driver John. Ben admitted on the podcast that this new living style has been a major adjustment, albeit one he’s extremely thankful for.
He shared, "This is wild. I’m an only child. I tend to enjoy my time alone. I process a lot; I feel like I’m constantly in my head. When I’m around people, I can’t be in my head and thinking through problems."
The Season 20 Bachelor talked about the fact that so many people are living in such close quarters, which means getting very comfortable very fast. The dancers on his bus have no problem with this. He explained, "Girls and guys change and get butt naked in front of each other all the time and there’s no weirdness to it and they don’t even think about it. For me, I’m picking up on all this stuff and trying to figure out where my boundaries lie, where I feel comfortable and I don’t."

Ben calls this "really healthy" for him because it's "pushing me in ways I typically wouldn't be pushed."
He also recalled one moment that felt particularly "spiritual." He said, "We always do a meet-and-greet, so we’re always the last ones back on the bus. I walk into my bus and it’s almost spiritual. You walk into this little room with a bunch of people you met two weeks ago and everyone is dancing to celebrate an accomplishment of the evening. For me, that’s the craziest thing because these are people unlike me."
Ben talked about how "The Bachelor Live on Stage" created a community that he never would've met otherwise.
"We don’t run in the same circles, we have very different interests, our lives probably never would have crossed," he said. "If they did cross, we would not have anything to share. This show has brought us together, where I walk into my little home and people are dancing in the little kitchen and people are celebrating something we’ve done together and I’m welcomed into that circle. For me, that’s really fun and super unique that is special."
