The Secret's Out! Kesha Reveals She's One of Bachelor Nation’s Biggest Fans
Bachelor Nation wears fan pride loud and proud. One might say Bachelor Nation isn’t afraid to yell "We R Who We R" — just ask Kesha, because now the secret’s out!
The chart-topping pop singer joined Rachel Lindsay and Becca Kufrin on a new episode of "Bachelor Happy Hour" and waxed poetic about how much she loves "The Bachelorette."
Kesha appears on Episode 3 of "The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart" as a guest judge alongside Jason Mraz, JoJo Fletcher, and Jordan Rodgers for the first performances of the season. Rachel asked her about her experience on the show, and Kesha replied first about being in the (virtual) presence of Becca and Rachel.
"I’m a little geeking out because I have to tell you, I’m such a fan. I’ve been a secret fan for a very long time," she said. "My girlfriends and I always get drunk and watch 'The Bachelorette.' Always 'The Bachelorette' is way more entertaining. I love when the woman has the power."
She described herself as a "huge fan of the show" and decided she didn’t need to keep that information hidden anymore. Kesha shared, "It was my secret and I was like, 'You know what? I’m going to come out with it. I am a huge fan of ‘The Bachelorette.' I don’t care what anyone thinks. Don’t judge me, world.'"
Kesha called Rachel and Becca "badass" and told the podcast co-hosts why she prefers when the women hand out the roses.
She said, "I’m not even trying to be a nerd right now, but just seeing women be able to express themselves so eloquently while there’s cameras rolling, and I’m sure it feels like the weight of the world is on your shoulders in that moment and you’re without your phone and without being able to talk to your family, I just love watching you be so direct and badass and straightforward and create boundaries."
She added, "It’s very empowering."
Becca reciprocated Kesha’s enthusiastic feelings. She explained to the artist that her song "Woman" was her theme music for the season and producers always played it whenever she felt down or was having a rough time.
Kesha responded, "We’re all in this together, especially as women. I love watching you hold it down with 30 guys. That’s a lot of men to deal with."
