Savannah Explains Why She 'Definitely Had Full Trust' in Brandon
There’s much more to Savannah and Brandon’s relationship than meets the eye.
Savannah joined Daryn Carp on People's "Reality Check" where she shed some light on her time with Brandon, as well as how she’s coping after the show.
At the first Rose Ceremony, Savannah offered her rose to Brandon and he reciprocated during Week 2. However, little did she know that Brandon was whispering to Julia at the same time about potentially pursuing a relationship with her.
Savannah explained, "I felt so connected with him. That was the thing, the entire time I was on the show, I was really open and honest with Brandon."
She continued, "I think the problem was he was still trying to figure it out. We didn’t have those conversations on his end of him saying, 'Hey, I like you, but I’m still figuring it out.'"

When the 25-year-old learned that Brandon expressed interest in Julia, she was caught off guard, because she didn’t know the extent of his feelings for Julia.
"I was a little bit shocked when I had seen we had gone through the date, we had gone through two Rose Ceremonies, yet at the end of that Rose Ceremony, we see the whisper and the things coming out," she said. "I didn’t know that at the time."
She said that she told Brandon she "was really considering Gabe," who ended up leaving the show because he only wanted to be with Savannah, but her heart was elsewhere. Savannah said in her interview, "I really loved the friendship and the connection that he and I had, but I was always very honest that my romantic connection always lied with Brandon."
Savannah expressed that she "definitely had full trust" in Brandon, especially after he came up to her outside while she was crying and said, "Do this with me."
She explained that moment when Brandon told her he was there for her, she felt a "trust" and a "bond" with him. "That really is what kept me," she said.
Now that the show is done filming, Savannah is home in Nashville working on new music and "new concepts." She told Daryn, "I think that whenever you walk through different seasons of life, you pull from the hard times. At least I do whenever I write. That evokes a lot of emotion."
Savannah also opened up to Rachel Lindsay and Becca Kufrin on "Bachelor Happy Hour" about her confrontation with Julia about Brandon on Monday's episode of "Listen to Your Heart."
"Julia is just really strong. I think Julia is highly motivated, opinionated and the way that she comes across can seem a little aggressive," she told the co-hosts. "I know her intention probably wasn’t to attack me, but I know also I had a hard time figuring out what her motivation was."
It didn't help, either, that she and Julia "weren't the best of friends" in the house. She explained, "I had told Julia in that conversation, 'You think this is a zero-to-100 thing, yet you and I aren’t best friends.'"
Savannah continued, "It was a bit of a shock that she would expect me to confide in her and share my heart with her when, to be frank, she wasn’t the nicest and most open to me. No, we weren’t the best of friends, so that whole conversation blindsided me."
Be sure to tune in to "The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart" next week to find out where Savannah, Julia, and Brandon stand. The show airs Monday at 8 p.m. on ABC.
