Kaitlyn Bristowe Will Be on 'Dancing with the Stars' Season 29
Kaitlyn Bristowe, will you accept this dance?
Monday’s episode of "The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons — Ever!" featured a look back at Kaitlyn’s time as the Bachelorette, as well as some reunions with former cast members from her season and others.
Kaitlyn and her boyfriend Jason Tartick caught up with Chris Harrison towards the end of the three-hour episode and changed the topic of conversation with a dramatic flare.
He said in a sobering tone, "In all seriousness, I do have a very, very real question for you Kaitlyn. This is a question I am so excited to ask you because, well, your life is about to change. I’m not joking."
He inquired, "Kaitlyn, will you be on the next season of 'Dancing with the Stars?'"
The Season 11 Bachelorette’s jaw dropped to the floor, and she and Jason were both shocked into silence for a few seconds. She finally mustered up, "Are you serious?! This is the last thing I thought you would say! I thought you were going to ask me to take over your job. That was the last thing. Yes, yes, yes! I am so humbled to say yes!"

Kaitlyn's casting on "Dancing with the Stars" comes on the heels of Hannah Brown's big win alongside Alan Bersten on Season 28. Other Bachelor Nation members to compete on the show include Chris Soules, Joe Amabile, Trista Sutter, Jake Pavelka, Nick Viall, Sean Lowe, and Melissa Rycroft.
The Canada native used to be a dance instructor, and if her TikTok videos are any indication, her skills are still as strong as ever.
Before blindsiding Kaitlyn with the big news, it seemed for just a moment as if the host was setting Jason up to pop a certain question to Kaitlyn. However, that wasn’t the case — at least not today.
Chris asked Jason and Kaitlyn to recall how they first met, which occurred in Seattle during a recording of her podcast "Off the Vine."
Jason said, "I was crushing pretty quickly, actually. I had left the podcast and I turned the corner, called my best buddy, and he said, 'How’d it go? I know you’re excited for it.' I said, 'Yep, just met my future wife.'"
Kaitlyn admitted that she "friend-zoned him," but then commended him for "pushing through."
Jason added, "Without this experience, without this franchise, we wouldn’t be here. We wouldn’t live in this house together, we wouldn’t have two beautiful golden retrievers that we rescued. This narrative wouldn’t have come together if we didn’t experience that. It’s part of the journey and here we are."

Chris replied coyly, "By the way, I know you mentioned about meeting your future wife. You know I’m an ordained minister."
Kaitlyn became flustered and put her hand on Jason's leg and screamed, thinking she felt an engagement ring box. He assured her, "These are just my EarPods," and told Chris he "will be called" when the time arises.
Congratulations, Kaitlyn! Go get that Mirror Ball!
