Trista Sutter Asks for 'Strength' Before the 'Bachelor: GOAT' Episode
Trista Sutter’s Monday night will unfold differently from anyone else’s, as she’s embarking on a double-header down "Bachelor" memory lane.
Monday’s episode of "The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons — Ever!" (also known as "Bachelor: GOAT" for short) looks back at the franchise’s firsts: the inaugural season of "The Bachelor" featuring Alex Michel, as well as Trista starting off as the first-ever Bachelorette. She appeared on Alex’s season of "The Bachelor" and made it to his final two before he handed his final rose to Amanda Marsh.
Over the weekend, Trista posted a photo from her season finale of "The Bachelorette" and wrote out a prayer asking for "strength" before the recap episode.
She began, "'Dear Lord, please give me and @ryansutter the strength to survive Monday when they re-air the first @bachelorabc, my season of @bacheloretteabc, and our wedding. Please give me the sense of humor to laugh at my voice and my fashion sense, the ability to spread love when the haters come out of the woodwork, the grace to forgive myself (again) for any regrets or mistakes I made, and the intelligence to remember that it all worked out and I’m one lucky wife and mom.'"

Her caption went on, "That about sums it up. Now, who’s gonna take a walk down memory lane with me and reminisce about the path I took to get to that final rose ceremony and the beautiful life Ryan and I have created?!"
"Bachelorette" fans know that Trista’s season came with a happy ending. The former Miami Heat dancer fell madly in love with Ryan Sutter, a firefighter from Colorado. He proposed to her at the end of the season and she happily accepted, setting off a fairy-tale ending for the "fairy godmother" of the "Bachelorette" franchise.
Trista and Ryan tied the knot December 6, 2003, in Rancho Mirage, California. They even had their own televised wedding special called "The Bachelorette: Trista & Ryan’s Wedding," and viewers will get to see parts of it on Monday’s episode.
Brush off the dust from those flared jeans, because it’s time to go back to the early 2000s on "The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons — Ever!" airing at 8 p.m. on ABC.
