Catherine Giudici Shares the Moment That Made Her 'Start to Fall in Love' with Sean Lowe
There are ways to say "I love you" without speaking those three fateful words, and Catherine Giudici Lowe knows exactly how that feels.
Catherine shared a throwback photo on Instagram Thursday of herself and her husband Sean Lowe from Season 17 of "The Bachelor." In the photo, they’re sitting in the back seat of a car as Sean smiles at the camera and Catherine wraps her arms around him in what she describes as an "entanglement."
She described in the caption why this photo was so special and its significance in their relationship.
She began, "Between the day and night portion of our first one-on-one date on The Bachelor, we needed to drive back to our hotel about 2 1/2 hours away. Sean convinced (nay, begged) the producers to let us drive back together in the same car (THAT NEVER HAPPENS) as long as we didn’t speak to each other."

Her caption continued, "They didn’t want us to say anything off camera that could be really important for them to capture so we didn’t speak the whole time. But we held hands. And we cuddled. And we looked into each others’ eyes. And that was more important than any words for us then."
Although she and Sean didn't talk, she believes "the gesture and the closeness" are what helped her "start to fall in love" with her now husband.
That road trip laid the groundwork for the rest of the season and the love story that continues to this day. Sean proposed at the end of the season in 2013, and they celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary January 26. Their relationship became such a popular one that it was featured in the first episode of "The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons — Ever!"

Sean and Catherine are now the parents of three kids: Samuel, 4, Isaiah, 2, and Mia, 6 (almost 7) months. He told People in an interview after his episode of “The Greatest Seasons — Ever!” that he hopes his kids "think it’s super lame when they’re teenagers" that he and Catherine met on "The Bachelor." If not, they already have a "backup plan" at the ready.
Their baby girl Mia, born December 23, is the real MVP of Sean’s Instagram feed and, according to Catherine’s Instagram Story, is "on her way to her first word."
And to think, that all started with a silent car ride!
