Becca Kufrin & Rachel Lindsay Share Their Favorite Family Traditions
Whether it’s cooking on Thanksgiving or weekly TV nights, each family has its own traditions that bring people together for a singular experience.
Becca Kufrin and Rachel Lindsay shared some of their favorite customs on a new episode of "Bachelor Happy Hour" before chatting with 90-year-old superfan Grandma Honey Kellman and her love of all things "Bachelor" (Tyler Cameron included).
In her discussion with Rachel, Becca said "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette" have "brought my mom, my sister, my aunt, and I together in a really new tradition of Monday nights."
Rachel’s family is the exact opposite. She explained, "My mom and my sister are like, 'Who’s Peter? Who’s Hannah?' They have no idea. They were like, 'We watched it for you. We’re not watching it.'"
Her parents might not watch the show, but they nonetheless "adore everything that’s come out of it" because they "adore Bryan."

In terms of traditions, Rachel told Becca she has a close family, but "we don’t have something that we all do that’s 'Oh, that’s the Sheltons,' which is my mom’s side of the family, or 'That's the Lindsays' on my dad’s side. Holidays are assigned to certain families."
On Thanksgiving, her family travels to Houston to spend time with her grandmother. She said, "My grandmother has had a lot of health issues over the last couple of years, but it’s known that she loves being in her room. It’s a tradition that although she has her living room and dining room, we always end up in her room and we're always in her bed, on her chair, on the floor laughing and talking about whatever it is, just reminiscing about old stuff. It’s not a tradition, it’s just more of a habit."

Becca spoke about how her family is "mainly women" because her father passed away when she was just 19. "My mom, sister and I are super close," she said.
She’s also taken on the new role of Aunt Becca. Her sister gave birth in September to a baby girl named Imogen and Becca loves her like her own. She said, "The fact that I’m an aunt now and I can carry on some of the things we’ve learned in my family is something really special and a whole new thing that I’m learning to navigate. It’s scary to think that I have the ability to shape her. It’s a lot of pressure."

As for traditions, she explained, "My dad’s side of the family, we’re huge foodies. Cooking with my aunt and being in the kitchen during the holidays is something really special to me. Sharing recipes really bonds us in a special way."
The Kufrins really get competitive when it comes to board games.
"We love board games," she shared. "If we could have tournaments all weekend long, that’s what we would do. Growing up, when I was younger, because it was easier, it was Yahtzee. We would go to a cabin every summer for a week and we would play probably 500,000 games of Yahtzee. We would bet and I feel like I was always really good and I won all the money."
Lately, they've been delving into Settlers of Catan.
