Arie & Lauren Luyendyk Venture to Lake Tahoe for Romantic Birthday Getaway
Arie Luyendyk Jr. turns 39 September 18, so he and his wife Lauren took a quick trip to Lake Tahoe for a romantic birthday weekend.
Arie and Lauren both posted photos and videos on their Instagram timelines and Stories Thursday and Friday from their time in Tahoe. On Thursday, they went on "a long hike" and celebrated with champagne at the end. Arie and Lauren also posed for funny photos and stretch breaks along the way.
In one picture, Arie sits on a rock and holds out two flues of bubbly. He wrote, "One on one time with my #1 @laurenluyendyk. Champagne at the end of a long hike, highly recommended."

On Friday, his actual birthday, Arie shared a selfie of himself and Lauren snuggling up in their lush hotel robes. The Season 22 Bachelor captioned it, "IT’S MY BIRTHDAY! s/o to @laurenluyendyk for planning an epic trip, can’t wait to see where the day takes us ❤️"

Beloved "Bachelor" jeweler Neil Lane also wished Arie a happy birthday with a heartfelt note on Instagram. He posted a photo from Arie's season finale and wrote, "I have always rooted for @ariejr over the years in his pursuit of love. Wishing the happiest of birthdays to this guy! 🎉 Hoping this year is full of all the happiness you deserve. Cheers, Neil."

The Luyendyks have had quite an exciting and active end to their summer. Earlier in the week, they went strawberry picking at a local farm with their daughter Alessi. In July, Arie went above and beyond in romantic gestures and surprised Lauren with a diamond eternity ring.
Lauren explained the meaning of the jewelry, writing, "this eternity band symbolizes that we will always have each other in our darkest times."
