Clare Crawley Clarifies Why She Wears a Ring on Her Wedding-Ring Finger
Clare Crawley insisted on the first night of "The Bachelorette" that she "just met my husband." The Season 16 Bachelorette raised suspicions when she was seen wearing a diamond ring on that finger, but now she's clarifying to the world that there's more than meets the eye.
On Monday, Clare posted a Boomerang on Instagram of herself. In it, she is holding up her left hand and looking at her ring finger. The bauble, which has six small diamonds on it, sits front-and-center on the screen.
She explained in her caption, "People have noticed I wear this ring on my wedding finger, and have asked why! The truth is because it is a commitment to myself first and foremost, to embody self-love."

Clare continued, "In the past I found myself getting into relationships where there was little to no reciprocity, and in the end would feel depleted and empty. This is my promise to myself, to make sure I always had enough self love that no matter what happened, I was committed to loving myself unconditionally, and that is something no man could take away from me❤️"
According to the jeweler's website, Clare's ring is called "La Femme" and is comprised of a 1-carat diamond and can be set in white gold, rose gold, or yellow gold.
The designer Miss Diamond Ring describes it, "You embody femininity; the multi-faceted woman. Fierce, soft, strong, vulnerable, sensual, loving, driven, balanced - the many faces of the feminine. You can create life, and the love from your soul sustains it. That is true power."
Clare often speaks about self-love and how she focused on that to help her heal from past heartbreak as well as empower her. Trailers for this season of "The Bachelorette" show Chris Harrison telling her, "Congratulations, you've just blown up 'The Bachelorette.'" Clare opened up on an episode of "Bachelor Happy Hour" about exactly how she blew it up.
She revealed, "I’ll tell you exactly how I blew up 'The Bachelorette.' I said what I wanted to say. I did what I wanted to do. I followed my heart. I followed my gut. I didn’t let anyone tell me what to do, because I know what’s best for myself."
Clare added, "That’s why I can literally look back and say I have no regrets, because I wasn’t talked into or encouraged to do something that I didn’t want to do."
"The Bachelorette" airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
