JoJo Compares Meeting Jordan to When Clare Met Dale on Night 1 of 'The Bachelorette'
There tends to be some correlation between receiving the First Impression Rose and the Final Rose. It’s happened in the past with many couples, including JoJo Fletcher handing hers to now-fiancé Jordan Rodgers.
This season on "The Bachelorette," Clare offered the rose to Dale Moss. He took her breath away the moment he stepped out of the limo. After meeting him, she said, "I think I just met my husband."
Bachelor Nation must wait and see how their relationship turns out. JoJo, who makes an appearance on "The Bachelorette" as a temporary stand-in for Chris Harrison, spoke with Us Weekly and compared her first interaction with Jordan to Clare and Dale’s.
JoJo said, "It’s funny because when I saw Jordan come out of the limo, I obviously was super excited and giddy, and I knew he was the one that I wanted to talk to."
The Season 12 Bachelorette noted that she felt like Clare "fell in love in that moment" when Dale exited the limo, adding, "It was so weird. I had never seen anything like it out of all the seasons I’ve ever watched."
Jordan joined the video interview and joked about JoJo’s reaction: "It wasn’t love at first sight?"
JoJo responded, "It was giddy lust at first sight!"
That "giddy lust" proved to be correct, because JoJo and Jordan have been together for four years and are going strong.
Clare spoke with Rachel Lindsay and Becca Kufrin on "Bachelor Happy Hour" recently and told the podcast co-hosts that she didn’t regret any decisions she made the first night of the show (except for chicken nuggets).
Clare said, "I will say no, because I don’t want to live life like that. I chose to do and say the things I did because that’s what felt right in my gut. Throughout the entire journey, I’ve said it a million times, I might not make the right decisions that other people might make or the best decision somebody else thinks I should make."
She continued, "One thing I will never do is not listen to my gut and I will never disappoint myself to make other people happy. The decisions I made and what I chose to do and say at that time was what I felt. I’ll never regret that or take that back."
"The Bachelorette" airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
