Ben Higgins Shares the Story of His First Date with Fiancée Jess Clarke
Ben Higgins and his fiancée Jess Clarke celebrated their two-year anniversary by reliving their first date.
Jess posted on her Instagram Story that their official anniversary isn’t until December 18, but her school schedule might get in the way of their being able to celebrate it together. Ben and Jess dined at restaurant where they went on the date that kicked off their life together.
Jess asked Ben in a video on her Story to recap their first date, and he happily obliged.
He started, "When you first came to Denver, we went to a restaurant in Evergreen called Willow Creek. We didn’t know each other well. We just had messaged."

The Season 20 Bachelor continued, "We sat at Willow Creek for 3½ hours. We started at maybe 2 o’clock and we sat until dinnertime, when they had to ask us to leave. We shared French fries and a bottle of wine. It was the moment I knew that I was in trouble."
Ben and Jess met over Instagram when he slid into her DMs. He introduced her on his Instagram page February 20, 2019.

He wrote at the time, "I’ve been selfishly keeping this girl to myself for too long! Hey friends meet @jessclarke_! I successfully slid into her Dm’s a few months ago. I took a risk and I am glad I did. She is someone special, and I look forward to where life is going to take us. Stay tuned for the journey."
Ben and Jess celebrated their six-month engagement anniversary in September after he popped the question March 27 at her home in Tennessee. On Friday, Jess revealed on her Instagram Story that she and Ben are now shopping around for houses.
