Ashley Iaconetti & Jared Haibon Rewatch Their 'Cringe-y' First Kiss from 'Bachelor in Paradise'
Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon recently looked back on the beginning of their relationship — which, according to the beloved Bachelor Nation couple, included a very “cringe-y” lip lock.
In an Instagram Reel shared Wednesday, the spouses are seen cuddled up together on a couch, rewatching their first kiss, which aired on Season 2 of “Bachelor in Paradise” more than five years ago.
“Look at that, we were such youngsters!” Jared says as he watches his younger self lean in to give Ashley a smooch. Squirming in her seat, a smiling Ashley responds, “Aw, babe.”
Their faces scrunch up, though, as Ashley immediately brings up another woman following their kiss. “You do that just as well as you did with Kaitlyn,” she said at the time, referring to Kaitlyn Bristowe, whose heart Jared had competed for as a contestant on Season 11 of “The Bachelorette.”
In an accompanying caption, Ashley described how she and Jared felt reliving the awkward moment.
“Rewatching our first kiss! Before this, Jared hadn’t watched this scene since it first aired on ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ in 2015,” she wrote. “And, well, I’ve watched it a time or two...but it’s been a few years. I will never get over how cringe-y it was that 1) I said ‘Oh Ok’ mid-kiss and 2) I brought up another woman post kiss.”
After giving their relationship a shot on multiple seasons of “Bachelor in Paradise,” Ashley and Jared eventually got engaged in March 2018. They tied the knot in a gorgeous August 2019 wedding ceremony in Rhode Island, attended by notable “Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” alums such as Ben Higgins, Nick Viall, Evan Bass, Carly Waddell and, yes, even Jared’s ex Kaitlyn.
