Tayshia & Zac Reveal Plans to Move in Together in NYC Following 'Bachelorette' Engagement
Empire state of mind! Following her engagement to Zac Clark on Tuesday night’s “Bachelorette” finale, Tayshia Adams revealed plans to move in with her new fiancé in New York City.
The couple stopped by “Bachelor Happy Hour,” where they spoke with co-hosts Rachel Lindsay and Becca Kufrin about their plans to kick off their relationship in the Big Apple, where Zac currently resides.
“I’m going to be bicoastal,” said Tayshia, a native of Orange County, California. “I’m going to keep my place here [in California], but yeah, we’re moving in together!”
Zac — who originally hails from New Jersey but has lived in New York City for years — said that he is especially thrilled to spend the most wonderful time of the year with Tayshia on the East Coast.
“Christmas, New Year’s, that whole thing, we’re going to be east and we’re going to give her a little East Coast holiday season,” he said, adding that there is “no return flight yet” booked for Tayshia.
“We’re just going to play it by ear,” he continued. “I’m excited to date her and take her out and do some things that you would typically do if this was a normal relationship.”
Tayshia is also looking forward to developing a deeper connection with her man off camera. “That’s really important to me. I said, ‘Just date me,’” she divulged. “Obviously, we’re already engaged, so we kind of sped up the process a little bit. But now it’s the time.”
While on the subject of New York City, Rachel and Becca asked Zac to describe what his Hometown Date would have looked like had he and Tayshia been able to travel. (Because of current COVID-19 restrictions, the entirety of “The Bachelorette” Season 16 was filmed inside of a coronavirus-free bubble at Palm Springs, California’s La Quinta Resort and Club.)
“To be honest with you, I think I would do the cheesy tourist stuff. The Empire State [Building], the World Trade Center. Because what happens is when you live in New York City like I do, you don’t end up doing any of that sh--t,” he said. “You just see it and it’s like, ‘OK, cool.’”
Added Zac, “Maybe [we’d] take a horse and carriage [ride] in the park. There are some things to do.”
Tayshia is equally excited to experience all that the city has to offer. “I haven’t really been to New York with him. I went a couple times. I visited Sydney [Lotuaco] from my season [of ‘The Bachelor].’ She lived there,” said the “Click Bait with Bachelor Nation” co-host. “And so I did a couple of things. I went to see the Knicks play at Madison Square Garden,” she recalled. “We did a lot of fun little things, but I never had a hot dog off the street.”
Zac is more than happy to treat Tayshia to New York City’s culinary treasures, including its delicious cart food. “The food is next level,” he said. “She can eat!”
