Peter Weber Is 'Beyond Excited' About Moving to New York City with Kelley Flanagan Next Month
Ready to take a bite out of the Big Apple! Peter Weber revealed on his Instagram Story this week that he and girlfriend Kelley Flanagan are officially moving to New York City next month.
“We’re moving in January and we are so beyond excited,” the Season 24 Bachelor said during a fan Q&A. “Definitely lucked out that Kell was on board, and excited to share all of our new adventures with you guys.”
With his video post, Peter also added in writing, “So grateful Kell was on board with the move! I had actually made it a goal of mine when I turned 20 that I wanted to live in New York City before my 20s were up and I’m just barely crossing it off the list!”
The Delta Air Lines commercial pilot — who turned 29 on August 4 — said that he is hoping to soon make one of New York City’s airports his official domicile. “There’s never any guarantee in the airline industry. Everything is predicated on seniority,” he said in response to another question from a follower. “But New York’s definitely my top choice.”
While details regarding work remain up in the air, one thing Peter is certain about is how blessed he feels to be planting roots in the concrete jungle with Kelley.
“My favorite thing about Kell is that she just has such a beautiful gift to be able to pull out the absolute best in whoever she’s around,” he gushed of the gorgeous attorney, who recently packed up her apartment in Chicago in preparation for her move with Peter.
He added, “And it’s just so organic. She comes from such a place of love and it’s the reason why I love her so much.”
Peter and Kelley revealed back in July that they had plans to take on the city together. Their decision came after months of dating and an unprecedented “Bachelor” romance. Before filming for Season 24 even began, sparks flew during a chance encounter in Peter’s home state of California. And although their chemistry was palpable on the show, Kelley was eliminated prior to Peter’s finale.
As Bachelor Nation will recall, he handed his final rose to Hannah Ann Sluss but then broke off their engagement to give things another (not-so-successful) try with his runner-up, Madison Prewett. Ultimately, Peter found his way back to Kelley by March, not long after his run as the Bachelor ended. Since then, their relationship has thrived — even in such a challenging year as 2020, marked by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Earlier this summer, Peter celebrated his full-circle love story with Kelley by sharing video footage from the first night they met, accompanied by a sweet caption. “A year ago today I met this one in a hotel lobby. We danced the night away and then went our separate ways,” he wrote. “I truly didn’t know if I’d see her again. This life is beautiful, beautiful. Let’s see what’s next.”
