Experience Bali Like Chris Soules on 'The Bachelor'
It’s likely that from the moment your plane touches down in Bali, you’ll already be planning your next vacation here.
This Indonesian island has it all: world-class beaches, luxury hotels, unforgettable cuisine, awe-inspiring temples, and so much more. Whether you spend the day snorkeling in the sea or visiting one of the thousands of temples, Bali creates the perfect atmosphere to fall even more in love. It looks and feels as if you’re living in a dream thanks to all the natural beauty surrounding you, but there’s no need to pinch yourself! It’s real.
Chris Soules traveled to Denpasar, Bali, on Season 19 of “The Bachelor,” and here’s how you can have just as romantic an experience.
Arrival
Bali is filled with all types of lodging options, from beach resorts to smaller hotels. If you want to live like the Bachelor, look into The Mulia Bali. This five-star hotel sits just feet from the water and includes suites, oceanfront dining, and seven pools.
When you arrive, put on your cutest bathing suit, hit the beach or the pool, and relax. There are all the right reasons to be doing that!
One-on-One Date: Monkey Business
Bali is home to over 20,000 temples and visiting some of them should be at the top of your itinerary. Spend a few hours wandering around the temples with your loved one and see how these spiritual places can impact your relationship in a positive way. However, because these are holy sites, you’ll want to keep a shawl in your bag to cover shoulders and legs if need be. Since kissing and other physical touching are not allowed in the temples, use the time to build your emotional connection even more.
Scooters are a major mode of transportation around Bali, so ride around town on these bikes or walk hand-in-hand to soak up the beauty around you. Don’t be afraid to stop by local food stands for a bite to eat and a refreshing beverage to cool off! You might even see some monkeys wandering around, too.
Spend the evening relaxing by the water at Mulia. To top off your already perfect day, hand your date their very own Fantasy Suite card!
One-on-One Date: Set Sail
While in Bali, you’ll absolutely want to take advantage of all types of water-centric sports and activities. If you want to spend the day on the Indian Ocean, look into chartering a boat out of Benoa Harbor and sailing around the turquoise waters. Pack a picnic for your day outside and snuggle up together on the deck while snacking on your meal.
When you get back to land, have dinner back at Mulia as you look out at the ocean that you just sailed on. This one-on-one date is definitely worthy of a rose!
One-on-One Date: Fall Coco-Nutty in Love
Denpasar is Bali’s capital city, but there are several other towns and cities worth visiting when you’re here. Chris and his date spent the day wandering around Sidemen, located in East Bali and a favorite place for people to hike and wander amid nature.
While you’re here, stop by some of the temples. Don’t be afraid to chat with locals, either. They might even provide you with helpful relationship advice, just like some did for Chris and his date. If thirst strikes, you can pick up some coconuts and drink the water straight from the fruit. The only thing sweeter than that is the day you’re spending with your loved one!
Bali epitomizes paradise with its clear water, white sand beaches, verdant mountains and forests, spiritual temples, and so much more. All of these aspects come together to create an environment that will only bring you and your loved one closer together in your relationship.
