Caila Quinn Celebrates Her 'Engagement-versary' with Fiancé Nick Burrello
Time flies when you’re in love! Caila Quinn headed over to Instagram on Monday to celebrate the one-year anniversary of her engagement to fiancé Nick Burrello.
“A year ago today,” the Bachelor Nation star wrote. “He asked me to be his forever girlfriend. Happy engagement-versary @nickburrello.”
Caila jokingly added, “P.S. no we don’t exchange gifts on this one.”
To accompany her caption, the lifestyle blogger shared a series of photos and videos from the day Nick proposed at Sarasota, Florida’s Ritz-Carlton hotel on January 4, 2020. In one pic, the couple are seen sipping champagne while lounging inside of a fancy suite decorated with red rose petals. In a romantic clip, the pair dance outside by candlelight to an instrumental version of The Jackson 5’s “I’ll Be There.”

Not long after slipping a stunning 2.5-carat diamond ring on her finger, Caila — who began dating Nick in 2017 — opened up to Us Weekly about the touching moment the businessman asked for her hand in marriage.
“It was just a special evening where we had dinner by the ocean and we kind of talked about our relationship, our lives together,” she told the outlet. “It was just the two of us. Then, at the end of the dinner, he asked me to slow dance and I said, ‘OK.’ So we started slow dancing and I’m swaying in his arms and then he gets on one knee and he asks me.”
Caila also explained that she believes her time competing for Ben Higgins’ heart on Season 20 of “The Bachelor” in 2016 ultimately led to her thriving love life with Nick.
“I feel really lucky because I feel like I wasn’t meant to go on the show to find love there,” she said. “I was meant to go on the show to find Nick. If I wasn’t on the show, I wouldn’t ever have met him because I would never have been a blogger and that’s who introduced us and set us up on our first date. So, I think everything happens for a reason and I thank God every day.”
Caila and Nick had big plans for their wedding day until the coronavirus pandemic forced them to readjust. They initially planned on having two ceremonies in May 2021 — one in her home state of Ohio with 200 family members and friends, and a smaller, more "intimate" ceremony in Lake Como, Italy, with 60 people. In October, Caila posted on her blog that she and Nick decided to cancel their nuptials. She later told "The Knot" that she and Nick are keeping their original date of May 29, but will exchange vows in Sarasota instead.
