Someone, Give Him a Grammy! Bennett Jordan Treats Bachelor Nation to His Rendition of Lady Gaga's 'Shallow'
We’re off the deep end, Bachelor Nation! “Bachelorette” Season 16 star Bennett Jordan headed over to Instagram on Thursday night to share a video of himself singing Lady Gaga’s hit song “Shallow,” the pop diva’s duet with Bradley Cooper from the critically acclaimed film “A Star Is Born.”
The clip begins with Bennett — dressed in his signature white bathrobe — taking a sip of red wine, licking his lips, and toasting to the camera before belting out Bradley’s opening verse. The New York City-based wealth management consultant ends his performance with a seductive wink.
“Being a bachelor, living alone, and working from home in New York can get pretty quiet and lonely, especially during these winter months,” Bennett wrote in his caption. “I truly believe 2021 will be my year to find the [love] of my life. Here’s to hoping she loves lullabies.”
Yes, you read that correctly — lullabies.
The handsome Harvard grad then gave a shout-out to his middle and high school chorus teacher for helping him perfect his vocal chops.
“In no way is this verse meant to be an allusion to ‘A Star is Born,’” he added, “but I do think I owe some [love] to my @maristschool choral teacher [Sharon Coheley] who put up with me and gave me A’s for six consecutive years.”
Notable Bachelor Nation alums wasted no time sharing their thoughts on Bennett’s serenade in the comments section of his post.
“You complete me,” wrote Jason Foster. “The people need more,” Tyler Smith insisted, while Brendan Morais reacted with a winky face emoji.
As Gaga’s fans are likely aware, “Shallow” reached No. 1 in more than 20 countries following its September 2018 release. It received a multitude of accolades, including an Oscar, Golden Globe, and multiple Grammys, one of them being the coveted award for “Song of the Year.”
If “Cover of the Year” is ever added as a category, we sure hope the Recording Academy recognizes our boy Bennett. Watch him sing his heart out below.
